headed to Texas - Road runner statue at Las Cruces New Mexico rest area.

We left for Texas after Sunday church service. We drove to Deming New Mexico and stayed overnight before heading to Alpine Texas. We stopped at a rest area overlooking Las Cruces New Mexico.

There was a very large bird statue, shaped like a road runner, that was made out of trash. If you look carefully you may find your old keyboard or a pair of shoes you threw out.

Really neat looking. 

Here is the dog walk area at the rest stop. Note the sign about snakes. Never seen a sign like that at any rest area I have stopped at before. That would make me a little leery to walk my dog if I had one.
