took a day trip to Tombstone Arizona

We decided to take a day trip over to Tombstone Arizona since it is only about 35 minutes from Kartchnar Caverns State Park.

Just before you enter the town of Tombstone you pass the Boot Hill Graveyard.

It was fun reading the headstones.

If you know your wild west history then you know about the famous gunfight at the O.K. Corral. Below are some actors bidding you into the O.K Corral where they put on a re-enactment of the historic fight.

We spent a couple of hours walking up and down the main avenue looking at the small shops. Sue found a small shop she was interested in.

I found a shop that sold fudge.

We had lunch with our friends at Kate's Saloon where we shared a huge Reuben sandwich that they are known for.

There was a country singer singing old wild west songs while we ate our lunch. It was a very packed and noisy place.

Sue went on a stage coach ride with some of our group.

They gave a small tour of the town during the ride.

It was a fun visit.

  1. Ooh the oil and vinegar shop sounds great! What a fun town. Did it remind you of Back to the Future 3?
