Kartchner Caverns State Park

Our next stop on our rolling rally takes us to Kartchner Caverns State Park near Benson Arizona.

We stayed here for 6 nights. We had a great RV spot with spectacular views of the valley.

The weather was in the upper 60's during the day but in the low 40's at night.

Kartchner Caverns State Park is known for their cave and they have guided tours. One of our members arranged a private tour just for our group. 23 people from our group went on the tour but Sue and I stayed back at our RV as we have been in quite a few caves.

We did a lot of hiking with members from our group.

Below, Sue is all bundled up because there was a very cool breeze this morning on our hike.

Here is one of the many pincushion cactus we saw on our hikes.

We had daily devotions each morning and we shared several meals together with our group outside by our RV's.

For one of the evening meals it turned out to be a little too cool and breezy so we all met in one of our groups class A motor homes. We had 22 people all sharing a pot luck dinner inside. It was tight but we all had a great time. You should have seen the look on neighboring campers when it was time to leave and 20+ adults were exiting an RV. It was pretty funny.

On the last morning we had a communal breakfast together before we all got in our RV's to head to the Escapade Rally in Tucson.
