Yesterday we spent the day at Crater Lake National Park here in south central Oregon.
The lake is in a Caldera that was formed approximately 7700 years ago when Mount_Mazama collapsed.
We spent half a day driving around the entire rim. There were no guard rails so if you were not paying close attention to your driving on this narrow road you would be a goner. No texting and driving for sure.
We were several thousand feet above sea level and it was very windy and about 54 degrees.
A panorama photo of the caldera.
