saw winter - Wyoming

We were in a rush to get North to the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park because we had heard winter comes early and they can close the roads and/or the park because of early snow fall by the end of September. We almost lost the race. As we were headed north to the Grand Tetons we started getting into the snow and cold weather.

The views out the window were spectacular however as we kept heading north.

By the time we arrived the sun was coming out and we got to see some beautiful views of the Tetons.

We camped in the Grand Teton National Park at Colter-bay Campground. It was very nice with lots of tall pine trees. It was in the low 60's during the day but at night the temperature dropped to 16 degrees. We had to turn on our tank heaters and run our propane furnace in addition to running our little electric space heater to keep all the plumbing in our RV basement from freezing.
We left early the next morning to start heading north to Yellowstone and the temperature in the low part of the Grand Tetons hit 14 degrees in Jackson, Wyoming

Below you can see the Grand Tetons right after sunrise.
