After leaving
Cherry Glen Campground we drove most of the day across Iowa and Nebraska. At one point in our drive traffic was backed up because a truck hauling a portion of a base for windmills went off the road. You can see just how large these sections are. It turned out to not to be too bad of a delay because the incident occurred where the State police could detour us off an exit to bypass this blockage and we could get right back on the interstate. We were thankful it did not delay us very much.
We found an inexpensive campground right off the interstate to just stay for the evening called
Sleepy Sunflower RV Park in Ogallala Nebraska.
It was nothing special but all we planned on doing was sleeping for the night anyways.
As you can see it was not more than a big parking lot.
